You must NOT have anything to eat or drink (including water) for 8 hours prior to your surgery. Failure to do so will cause your appointment to be postponed.
You must bring someone with you to the office to drive you home (and they must stay during surgery). If the patient is a minor, a parent or guardian must accompany them. Failure to do so will cause your appointment to be postponed.
Please remove contact lenses prior to surgery.
Please wear a short-sleeved shirt or blouse to permit access to both elbow areas where the anesthetic will be administered.
Please remove makeup, jewelry, and perfume prior to surgery.
If you require antibiotics prior to surgery for other pre-existing medical conditions, take them as prescribed but only with a TABLESPOON of water (the smallest sip possible). Call our office with ANY questions about this before your appointment to clarify.
